The garden is relaxing and full of space. There is a tram that travels through the whole area every 25 minutes. There is a great kid area. The restaurant is ok and the staff frequently gets orders wrong. All the tables around me had to return at least half of their meals. It was amazing.
Went as just an outing with friends. Ended up being excited about new plants I discovered. Majority of plants have name tags so you know what to ask for when buying the plants. You get to see the plants in various stages so you have a good idea what they will look like, how much space they will take up and what if any color changes the plants goes through. The tram ride was excellent. Our driver was full of information and helpful. She was funny and kind too. We had hot coffee and ate sandwiches at the visitors/gift shop. The food was perfect. The service was great and sevred with a smile and a joke. Our outing was also the first day of rain we had in months. It was raining sideways and the wind was strong but we had our umbrella's and dressed warm. Even though we were drenched and cold it was a great day. The Resort is only about $120 a night for two. You get a bottle of wine and a guaranteed view of a garden. Glad my friend invited me to go. Definitely will go back again

I only toured the garden but the hotel accommodations look amazing! The garden is large (80 acres I think they said) and has many smaller gardens within. It's your typical "botanical" type garden. Nothing super special, but fun to walk through and beautiful! The grounds are kept up nicely, there's a small cafe with lunch size meals, and it's a great place to spend a few hours. Very relaxing!
This is such a beautiful place to visit. We spent about three hours exploring the gardens and we want to go back soon to see the rest of them. We still have about a third of the place to see. Everywhere you look there is something new and beautiful to see. This place is great for a romantic weekend away, a family outing or an educational field trip. The tour guides are knowledgeable and will answer your questions but you can walk around on your own as well.
