Our kids had a blast at the fish pond and just walking around and seeing the different birds on their walking paths. They even had a fun game room and a cute little playground!
We will for sure be staying here again!
The park was nice enough to move us, only to be placed closer to the road, and near a couple that sits outside all day long letting their dog bark at anything that moves. So now it feels like I was the one that got punished for #65 to play his music as loud as he wanted.
Maybe I was just unlucky, but a stronger set of rules may prevent future guests from having a 1 star experience.
Great RV Park. We'll organized and clean. Services all in the right place, washrooms well appointed and clean. Games room. Town close to the park. The Town is really historic and attractive.
#54 Just stayed for 4 nights. Had a very enjoyable stay. Park is friendly and clean. I found it to be very quite. Very well maintained. Breakfast on Saturday was very good and a bit of an ice breaker with other guests at the park. Our grandson was with us and enjoyed the game room and the fish pond. We will be back. My only wish is that the month long stays did not have a age restriction on the RV or trailer, I understand why, just a wish.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! You can tell they love what they do and love the town of Silverton.
The night we arrived the people in spot #65 started playing music on their OUTSIDE SPEAKERS! When you're in a park with literally hundreds of RVs all over the place, what kind of person are you if you think it's OK to blast your music for everyone to hear? For anyone trying to enjoy some peace and quiet, you can't get it when someone is shoving their musical opinion in your face.
The problem actually stems with the park. I was given a brochure with no rules on it. No rules about excessive dog barking, no rules about music, nothing. For all I know you can drive up and down the park all day long blasting Fox News from your vehicle and not get in trouble. I can tell the park is probably cringing reading this, but seriously WRITE DOWN SOME RULES and enforce them.
It's a big gravel pit. The club house is ok but the reason for 2 stars was the staff. One of them came over to our flat section of gravel and demanded I slow down in the park (i had been going 7mph instead of 5) and then the hipocryte peeled out fast enough to kick rocks in the air. Guess he's allowed to and I'm not. Also that was in a golf cart, who knew they could do that.
Beautiful park! Nice and quite. We stayed in a 36 foot travel trailer with 2 slides and had plenty of room on all sides of us. Sites are spread apart. We could put our awning out and not feel crowded at all. Everything is very clean and well kept.
